Position Summary

The full time Relief Driver/Product Control Specialist position is an integral component to bringing our locally sourced products to market and interacts with key customers. The division of time will be functioning 50% of the time as a Relief Driver and 50% of the time as Product Control Specialist.  As a Relief Driver, the candidate will hold a Class A CDL and make weekday (no weekend) route deliveries within a 100 mile radius of Defiance, Ohio, as needed, as well as other duties as assigned.  As a Product Control Specialist, the candidate will have oversight of the both the warehouse (controlling raw inventory) and cooler (controlling product rotation and and assisting in loading), as well as other duties as assigned.

Arps Dairy is a privately held company in Defiance, Ohio and offers medical and dental insurance as well as other benefits such as 401K, vacation, sick and holiday pay.

Position is classified as Non-Exempt

Compensation will be determined based on level of experience.

 

Key Tasks

  • Load, deliver, unload dairy products
  • Load empty dairy pallets and cases and return
  • Service customers by rotating product
  • Maintain order of raw inventory in warehouse
  • Maintain order of finished product in cooler
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Requirements

  • Class A CDL
  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least 21 years of age
  • Held a valid drivers license for at least the three years immediately prior to application
  • Driving record must be in good standing
  • Must be able to load truck, lift up to 75 pounds on a repetitive basis, push/pull up to 300 lbs of product using a two-wheel dolly.
  • Must be able to pass a D.O.T. physical, drug screen, motor vehicle record and criminal background check.
  • Must be able to perform frequent bending, kneeling, squatting and turning.
  • Must be able to perform frequent reaching over shoulder height, waist level and from floor.
  • Must be able to follow instructions and procedures in place
  • Must excel at customer service and have excellent communication skills
